|
Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is looking for a talented and enthusiastic intern who is highly skilled in conducting research. Specifically, Goodwill is seeking research regarding potential business lines that may be proposed for future development. This is a unique opportunity to contribute and gain insight into Goodwill’s mission and business enterprises. Principal duties and responsibilities will be to conduct research and analyze business lines that will support Goodwill’s mission. Aspects of the research results will be shared at the highest level of the organization and is time-critical. Suitable candidates should demonstrate a commitment to ensuring quality work. All internships are unpaid roles at Goodwill. |

Role Responsibilities and Expectations
|
|
- Assist Goodwill with qualitative and quantitative business research and analysis. This may involve using online market research and databases, reviewing, and analyzing national and local data sources.
- Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
- Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis
- Identify and log all data sources and relevant research evidence
- Support and collaborate with Goodwill team members
- Assess Goodwill’s internal capacity and the resources needed to bring the potential business line into development
- Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
- Assist in other tasks to support the work of the research team as required.

Education and Experience
|
|
- Bachelor or master’s degree in one of the following areas: MBA, Statistics, Risk Management, Business Analytics. Other bachelor’s or master’s degrees will be considered.
- Student must receive academic credit for participation in thus internship.

- Complete the requirements for serving as a Goodwill volunteer/intern
- Perform assigned responsibilities willingly and courteously to the best of your ability
